Patrick Wayne Swayze was born 18 Aug 1952 in Houston, Texas, the second child of Jesse Wayne Swayze and his wife Yvonne Helen "Patsy" Karnes.  Patrick had an older sister Vicky born 1949, and two more siblings or half-siblings Donald 1958 and Sean 1962.

The family may have moved at some point to California, as Jesse Wayne Swayze died, age 57 in Ventura County, California on 2 Nov 1982.
