One of the founders of the [[Theosophical Society]], along with [[Helena Petrovna Blavatsky]], and [[William Quan Judge]].  Upon Blavatsky's death in 1891, Henry Olcott took over her role as President, until his own death in 1907.  Upon his death, the society was then led by [[Annie Besant]].
