Madonna was born as Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone on [[Aug 16]], 1958 in either Bay City or Rochester, [[Michigan]], the daughter of Sylvio "Tony" Ciccone and his wife Madonna Louise Fortin.  She had at least one other sibling, a brother.

Her mother Madonna Fortin died of breast cancer on [[Dec 1]], 1963 in Pontiac, Oakland County, Michigan when Madonna was six years old.  Her father Tony was living Jul 2007 in Suttons Bay, Michigan.

Madonna married once to actor Sean Penn in the mid-80s, they had no children.
