I, Martha McMillen of the county of Lincoln and state of TN, being weak in body but of sound mind and memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say; First, I give and bequeath unto my son, William McMillen, one dollar. I also give and bequeath unto my son, James McMillen, one dollar. I also give and bequeath unto my son, John McMillen, one dollar. I also give and bequeath unto my son, Joseph McMillen, one dollar. I give and bequeath unto my son, Thomas McMillen, one dollar. I also give and bequeath unto the heirs of my son, Andrew McMillen, one dollar. after the above sums of money are paid out of my estate to my above named sons, I wish my tract of land, containing six acres, lying and being in the County of Lincoln, to be sold and the money arising from the sale thereof, together with other monies, debts, dues or claims or property wholly of whatsoever kind it may be, after my decease, to be equally divided between my five daughters, namely: NANCY WRIGHT, Sarah Chitwood, Jane Gross, Martha Marshall and Polly Pinkston. I hereby appoint JACOB WRIGHT SR. my sole executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made . In witness whereof, I have set my hand and seal this 27th day of February in the year of our Lord, 1826. Test: David Cook Martha [X] McMillen JACOB WRIGHT JR. Will Book 1, page 22 There was a codicil to the will of Martha McMillen, deceased. She wants to add one woman's addle and one pided heifer, and do give and bequeath the said saddle and heifer to my granddaughter, MARTHA WRIGHT.
