"Mrs Ethel Evans Ritchie, 86, a Salem resident since 1907, died Thursday at a Salem nursing home, where she had lived for the past several months. She was a native of Missouri. Mrs Ritchie was a member of Knight Memorial Church in Salem.
Survivors include daughters Mrs Clarice Batterman, Salem, Mrs Faye McCracken, Montesano Wash, and Mrs Ruth Ross, Santa Maria Calif; son John A Ritchie, Salem; sisters Mrs Mary Ritchie and Mrs Blanche Jones, Salem and Mrs A F Wood, San Luis Obispo Calif; brothers Harvey and William Evans, Salem and Fred Evans, Klamath Calif also nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Funeral services are pending at V T Golden mortuary."
