A family story states that she and her brother Marcus were raised by Edmond Pendleton Gaines Tackett [their first cousin].  This same Edmond settled George's estate and was later sued by Alice and Marcus.

Alice married first to Charles A Harris on 27 Oct 1872 in Phillips County, Arkansas.  She had two children from this union: George L Harris abt 1873 and Marion L Harris about 1877.  Alice married Christopher Columbus Hall in 1880, probably in Phillips County, Arkansas.  They had one child James in 1884.
