Andrew was knighted in 1662 by King Charles II.  Andrew was Alderman of London, Sheriff of London in 1651, and Governor of the East India Company, the Levant Company, and the Turkey Company.
  
 
He had a daughter Christiana (aka Christian) Riccard, his only child, baptised 19 Mar 1638/9 at St Olave's, London.  She married three times: firstly John Gayer of Stoke Pogis, son of the Lord Mayor and Sheriff John Gayer by his wife Katherine Hopkins.  This first husband died without issue in 1657.
