Derbyshire, vol. ii. pt. i. p. 367, are pedigrees of Lowe of Denby, and from them it appears that William Drury, Alderman of Nottingham, married in 1717 Anne, dau'r of John Lowe of Denby, Esq., J.P. for co. Derby.  Their only son and heir, William Drury, marr. in 1748 Mary, dau'r of Thomas Hunt of Nottingham (she survived her husband and died at Nottingham 19 Sept. 1791), and had with other issue William Drury Lowe of Locks Park, Esq., J.P. for co. Derby, who died 1827.  Mr. Drury took the name and arms of Lowe on succeeding to the estates of that family."
