A few years later, in 1953/4 [[Shelley Winters]] mentions that producer Nick Ray has then a bungalow at the Chateau Marmont. In 1954 or 1955, [[James Dean]] hopped in through a window at the Chateau Marmont to audition with Natalie Wood for ''Rebel Without a Cause'' When [[Montgomery Clift]] was almost killed in 1956, [[Elizabeth Taylor]] brought him to the Chateau Marmont, where she leased the penthouse as a place for him to recuperate.
