Robert and/or his parents moved to Oklahoma by 1917/8 where he is found in the World War I Draft Registration Cards working as a farmer.  He married in 1920, probably in Oklahoma, to Beatrice Palmer, an Oklahoma native.  She is living with her parents in 1920, but in 1930 Robert and Beatrice already have a 9-year-old daughter.  So they must have married in 1920.
