Born 30 Jul 1831 as Helena von Hahn in Ekaterinoslav, Russian Empire (now Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine) to Colonel Peter Alexeivich von Hahn (1798-) and his wife Helena Andreyvna Fadeyev (1814-42).
