Dec 24 — Mrs. Lili Clarke Ohrstrom, daughter of Mrs. [[Charles H Clarke]] of New York and the late Mr. Clarke, was married here this afternoon to Peter Townsend, a stockbroker with Sterling Grace & Co. in New York. — Town Justice Mercator C. Kendrick performed the ceremony at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Rutherfurd, stepfather and mother of the bridegroom. Mr. Townsend is the son also of Edward N. Townsend Jr., a vice president of the General Transportation Corporation division of Litton Industries, and a great-grandson of Orator Woodward, the chemist from Leroy, N.Y, who invented Jell-O. — The bride, who was, until July, director of the Saint Laurent Rive Gauche on Madison Avenue in New York, was graduated from the Chapin School and made her debut in 1956 when she was a member of the New York Junior Assemblies. Her father was an insurance broker. — Mrs. Townsend has an 8-year-old son, Clarke Ohrstrom, from her marriage to George L. Ohrstrom Jr., an investment banker. This ended in divorce as did the bridegroom's previous marriage. — Mr. Townsend was graduated from the University of North Carolina and attended the Columbia Law School. — The couple will go to Nassau, the Bahamas, for New Year's Eve and plan a delayed honeymoon to Trinidad in February.
