Item 1; I direct and declare that so soon after my death as practicable, the my Executor or Executors, pay all my just debts and funeral expenses out of any money that may be on hand at my decease, or that may first come into the hands of said Executors.

Item 2; I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Caroline Matilda, during her natural life, the tract of land on which I now live, containing one hundred and five acres, bounded as described in a deed from William A. Mc McClelland to me, dated June 11th, 1853, and which was conveyed to him by James G. Wood.

3rd. I give and bequeath to my grandson, William N. Wright, only son of, James B. Wright and Julia, his wife, who is my eldest child and daughter, a Negro girl named Margaret, now in the possession of said James B. and Julia Wright. Said James B. and Julia Wright are to retain possession of same slave Margaret, and to have the use of benefit of her and her labor during the natural life of said Julia.

McClellan, to be equally divided amongst them.
