The Magic Voyage of Sinbad (1952, 1962) fantasy adventure added 19 Aug 09
Sinbad seeks to release the people of the city of Covasan from tyranny.
This film originally created in 1952 in Russian, was re-cut and dubbed with the oversight of James Landis for an American release in 1962.  Elaborate sets and costumes, very interesting for that alone.  Not a Harryhausen movie, but if you like him, you'll love this.

    Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, Part 7, Part 8, Part 9
This is quite possibly the all-time worst dinosaur movie ever made.  You tell me.  The only thing that saves it from complete snoresville is boobs and muscles.

Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (1980) science-fiction adventure
starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Peter Cushing, Alec Guinness

When the Earth is threatened with annihilation by the evil Galactic Emperor Ming, only Flash Gordon can save the day.  This movie has more muscles than five gyms, a sadistic emperor, a mad scientist and a catfight between two beautiful women!  Who could ask for anything more?  In spite of all that, it's a family film, nothing extreme.
Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1983) science-fiction adventure
starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Peter Cushing, Alec Guinness
    directed by George Lucas
The Wind in the Willows (1983) animated fantasy adventure

Space Raiders (1983) science-fiction adventure added 1 Sep 09
starring Vince Edwards, David Mendenhall, Patsy Pease, Thom Christopher
    produced by Roger Corman
A young boy stows away on a pirates' spaceship.  The pirates take to him and decide to try to return him home even though no ransom is offered.
Warning: Roger Corman is known for sometimes producing really bad junk.  This is one of his better efforts.  The aliens are at least different.  The acting is passable although the film is still filled with Corman standards like emotional close-ups that don't fit the scene, plot elements left unexplained, long silent sequences and some jumpy cutting.  But hey, all-in-all, it's not too bad.
The Neverending Story (1984) adventure
Legend (1985) fantasy adventure romance
directed by Ridley Scott and starring Tim Curry, Mia Sara and Tom Cruise
The Sure Thing (1985) romantic comedy adventure added 24 Aug 09 directed by Rob Reiner

Part 1 has it's audio suppressed.  If anyone has this movie and would like to fix Part 1, all you have to do is silence the song that plays, then re-load it to YouTube, and tell me the URL.
