Trivia: Earl Holliman who also appears here was the guest star in the first episode of The Twilight Zone.
Rock Hudson a cattle rancher in Texas, married Elizabeth Taylor a debutante from Maryland. James Dean, Rock's former ranch-hand inherits some land and becomes their neighbor.

Bette Midler is a bartender who becomes pregnant by Stephen Collins, but she doesn't want to marry him, and has to decide what to do about her pregnancy. She gives birth to a girl Tini Alvarado and this film follows their lives for about twenty years. John Goodman is Bette's friend and sometimes bed-partner, and Marsha Mason is Stephen Collin's new romantic interest. Watch for Ben Stiller playing a studly bad boy and sometimes date to Trini. Eileen Brennan as a vicious snob.
