So whoever Mary the wife of William Nichols was, she was not the daughter of this Lawrence Southwick.

It also doesn't list a son-in-law DeWolf. Confirming this, a story was written about 1903 about this particular family and calls the wife here Sarah COTTON not Sarah Colson Bill. And I cannot find any printed source which backs up her name as Sarah Colson or Sarah Bill either. Just many people online repeating it from each other.
