Edward Seymour (1695-1757), 8th Duke of Somerset

Ahnentafel (Ancestor Table) for Edward Seymour (1695-1757), 8th Duke of Somerset. John Seymour, 19th Duke of Somerset is the current Duke of Somerset. In attempting to find the evidence that he is descended from Richard Cecil, I realized that John's Ahnentafel is quite poorly reported. One of the most scanty ancestor tables in the upper nobility. So I am rectifying a part of that lack by this article.

John Seymour, 19th Duke of Somerset is the current Duke of Somerset.  As one of the Ten Dukes a Dining, I wanted to show that he as well, is descended from Richard Cecil.  But, in attempting to find the evidence, I realized that John's Ahnentafel is quite poorly reported.  One of the most scanty ancestor tables in the upper nobility.  So I am rectifying a part of that lack by this article.
