Alan Ritchson was born 28 Nov 1982 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, the second of three sons, of David Ritchson and his wife Vickie.  His father David was in the Air Force.  Alan Ritchson shares his birthplace with Henry Fonda.


One source states that the family moved next to Campaign, Illinois, however David is listed living in 1993 in Rantoul, Illinois.   David is listed in the U.S. Public Records Index, living in Niceville, Florida, with a birthdate of 5 Jun 1956 which matches the Rantoul birthdate for the David in Rantoul.  When Alan was aged 10, they moved to Niceville where Alan completed his education.

When he was 18, Alan moved to Miami and became a fashion model, appearing in the ''Abercrombie and Fitch'' Catalog.  In 2005 he moved to Los Angeles.  He appeared on ''American Idol'' in it's third season, a short role as Aquaman on the TV-series Smallville.  Most recently in 16 episodes of the comedy "Blue Mountain State" as Thad Castle.

He published in 2006 a music CD of his singing. He owns a business in West Hollywood called Extreme Boot Camp. He is married, his wife's name is Catherine, can anyone tell me her maiden name?  He is a Christian.  Alan M Ritchson appears three times in the U.S. Public Records Index, living in Van Nuys, Encino and West Hollywood.

His parents David and Vickie appear in the U.S. Phone and Address Directories from 1995 to 2002 living in Niceville, Florida, at 105 Lincolnshire Drive.  This may be the same David living in 1993 in Rantoul, Illinois.   David is listed in the U.S. Public Records Index, living in Niceville, with a birthdate of 5 Jun 1956 which matches the Rantoul birthdate.  While Vickie's birthdate is listed there as 21 Jun 1958.  And so from this research, I am able to connect them to this North Carolina marriage of David Wayne Ritchson to Vickie Lynn Harrell 23 Aug 1980 in Wayne County, North Carolina.

Their eldest son Eric Joseph Ritchson was born there in Wayne County in 1981, according to the North Carolina Birth Index.  I don't believe it's possible that this David W Ritchson who wrote this story in 2009 could be anyone else.  So he is (or at least was) with the 96th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.  While Vickie Ritchson evidently works in the Planning Department in Niceville.


Since I've established that Vickie, when she married David in 1980 at age 22, was a Harrell, this Dan Harrell on whose page, she leaves a comment, must be a relative.  I would say possibly her brother.  I can't see where they say it there, but he is running in Genesee County, Michigan which I suppose gives us a clue as to where Vickie was born, or at least lived at one time.  Possibly not, but every clue helps.  I think this must be her here on Facebook.
