Uriah White was born 1797/8 (52 in 1850, 62 in 1860).  His birthstate is given variously as South Carolina (1850 Census) or North Carolina (1860 Census).  His wife's name was Hannah.

That she was previously a Gallion, and that they had eleven children, are two facts given in the Goodspeed Biography of their son James White (1831-).
